Last night it snowed,
Sky black and infinite.
White flakes drifted down onto a silver hill.
The moon was silver too-
It resembled frosted ice.
I was on that hill, I had been waiting
But I didn’t know for what until it came.
I shivered and smiled without a thought
For tomorrow;
Of a dawn that would never come.
I spun in circles, became dizzy.
I laughed-
It echoed through the night,
Continued on
Past what was known to me
And further on into the space beyond my reach.
