Welcome

A silhouette, a pebble or a petal
Rests on the surface of my balcony.
Tonight was cool, but now it's cold
I shiver in my coat of Autumn dew,
And wonder if my wish came true;
The heat, that it be mercifully dismissed
(Of course, the sun along with it)
And wonder if I'd regret it soon.

Alas, the scent of nothingness,
My mind is filled with empty thoughts.
When can I expect the Sleep;
The great Deliverer of Peace?
I'm tired.
Please hold me as I start to dream
Of headlights piercing through the trees,
Comforting me.
I prepare to greet you,
"Welcome."
Or should I not say anything?
I won't.
